Bob Miller currently serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Albertsons Companies, LLC, a North American grocery company comprised of over 2,300 stores under 19 popular banners including ACME, Albertsons, Carrs, Jewel-Osco, Pavilions, Safeway, Shaw’s, Star Market, United Supermarket and Vons stores.

Miller began his career at Albertson’s, Inc., and over 30 years worked his way up from Store Manager to Executive Vice President of Retail Operations. He left to join Fred Meyer where he served as Chairman and CEO from 1991 – 1999, culminating in their merger with the Kroger Company, where he was appointed Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer following the transaction close…[more]

Susan began her career in Albertsons Denver Division while still in high school and worked her way up in the ranks proving her ability to lead, to execute and to bring teams together in one assignment after another in her 30+ years in the retail grocery business. Since March of 2015, Susan has led the Denver Division team after having successfully led our Boise-based Intermountain Division for the two prior years. Her career has spanned roles from Store Director to Corporate Grocery Sales Director, Vice President of Bakery and Operations and, upon the sale of Albertson’s Inc.’s assets to SUPERVALU, Vice President of Customer Satisfaction. In 2010, she was Senior Vice President of Sales and Merchandising when she left SUPERVALU to join Albertsons LLC’s Southwest Division as Grocery Sales Manager, and was appointed Vice President of Marketing & Merchandising in 2012.

Susan was named EVP, East Operations in April 2016, and after a year leading those divisions was appointed EVP, West Operations in April 2017. In January 2018, Susan was appointed EVP & Chief Operations Officer.

Jim Perkins has spent the last 30 years as a pacesetting leader in the grocery industry. Jim’s passion for the grocery business began in 1982 at Albertson’s as a courtesy clerk, and he developed into a key leader for them in several areas of the country. He served as Vice President of Operations for Albertsons Inc., and Director of Operations for Albertsons LLC’s Southern Division. Jim left Albertsons and joined Giant Foods, LLC as a Regional Vice President, but returned to Albertsons as the president of Acme Markets in 2012. He was named EVP of Operations, East Region in April 2015, and returned to lead Acme Markets in June 2017. He was named Eastern Division President in October 2017. 

Jim received his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science, Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Mike Withers

Mike Withers began his career with Albertsons in 1976 in Boise. Like many of the company’s executives, he started as a courtesy clerk and gradually worked his way up until he was running his own store. He served as district manager in both Washington and Florida and was eventually promoted to Big Sky Division President with responsibilities for store operations in Montana and North Dakota, a role he also held in both the Florida and Portland divisions. Since 2006, Mike has served as Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising for the Florida and Southern divisions, and President of the Southern and Jewel Osco divisions. 

Mike was named EVP, East Operations in April 2017.

Shane Sampson

Chief Marketing & Merchandising Officer

Shane Sampson has spent over 35 years in the grocery industry working at several chains, all of which have deep roots in retail and are often considered the cornerstone of their respective communities. He began his career as a courtesy clerk. His love and passion for the industry grew from not only watching the dedication and hard work of his family who worked in the grocery business, but also as he spent time in the stores, working side by side with other employees to take care of customers.

Shane built his career with Albertson’s Inc., working his way up through the company’s ranks, culminating in serving as President of both the Florida & Intermountain Divisions. He left the company in 2002 and spent several years with Sam’s Club. He returned to Albertson’s LLC’s Southern division at its inception and served as VP of Marketing & Merchandising when he left to accept the role of Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations at Ahold’s Giant of Landover banner. In 2013, Shane rejoined the Albertsons team when he was tapped for President of Shaw’s and Star Market, and in 2014, he moved to Chicago upon being named President of Jewel-Osco. In January 2015, Shane was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing & Merchandising Officer.

Anuj Dhanda, CIOAnuj Dhanda

Anuj Dhanda graduated from the University of Delhi with a degree in Commerce and received his MBA and Ph.D. in Finance from Rutgers University. He began his career as a consultant with KPMG in Bahrain in 1984, and then worked at JP Morgan Chase before joining PNC Financial Services Group where he rose to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. He joined Giant Eagle as CIO in 2013. Dhanda brings extensive background in merger integration, digital marketing and commerce, systems modernization, and data security.

Dhanda joined Albertsons Companies in December 2015.

EVP & Chief Financial Officer

Bob Dimond has over 25 years of financial and senior executive management experience in the retail food and distribution industry. Prior to joining Albertson’s in February 2014 as Chief Financial Officer, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Nash Finch. He has also held the position of CFO for Wild Oats, the western region of Kroger Company, and Fred Meyer. Earlier in his career he was Vice President, Administration and Controller for Smith’s Food and Drug Centers.

He earned his BS degree in accounting from the University of Utah and is a Certified Public Accountant.


Justin EwingJustin Ewing
EVP, Corporate Development
& Real Estate

Following numerous Finance and IT advisory roles with Cerberus Capital Management LLC’s Operations Group, and after working on the Albertson’s LLC transaction and transition, Justin joined the company in June 2006. Prior to his work with Cerberus, Justin was with the Trowbridge Group, a strategic sourcing firm based in New York specializing in contract negotiation and outsourcing activities. Justin spent over 13 years of his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), lastly as an Investment Director with their technology venturing arm. Prior to this, as Senior Manager within PwC’s Management Consulting practice, Justin led numerous Shared Service Center (SSC), ERP and other system implementations, working in over 10 countries with some of the world’s largest corporations.

A British national, Justin is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, and holds a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Leeds.

Bob Gordon has been our company’s Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary since January 2015. Previously, he served as the Chief Governance Officer and General Counsel of Safeway Inc. He served in this role since June 2000, been the company’s Secretary since September 2005, and has been Senior Vice President since May 17, 1999. He has been Executive Officer of Safeway Inc. since 2000. Prior to this, he served as Deputy General Counsel of Safeway Inc. from May 17, 1999 to June 2000. He formerly served as Partner of Pillsbury Winthrop from January 1, 1984 to May 14, 1999.

Andrew Scoggin joined Albertson’s, Inc. in the Labor Relations and Human Resources department in 1993. Prior to that time, Andrew practiced law with a San Francisco Bay Area law firm. When he joined Albertson’s LLC in 2006, he was named Senior Vice President, Human Resources & Labor Relations, and eventually was promoted to Executive Vice President of that function. In 2015 with the transaction close with Safeway, Andrew was named Executive Vice President, Human Resources, Labor Relations, Public Relations and Government Affairs.

Andrew has a strong background in human resources as well as labor negotiations, Taft-Hartley fund administration, administrative agency interaction, union contract administration and related matters. He has served as a trustee on the board of trustees on a number of Taft-Hartley trust funds over the last decade and has testified before Congress on pension reform.

Andrew received his Juris Doctorate cum laude from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School of Law in 1989.
