Mushroom Trio Grilled Flatbread
Make something savory tonight. Layer meaty cremini mushrooms, velvety oyster mushrooms and soft shitake mushrooms over prepared pizza crust or naan and add fresh minced garlic. Sprinkle with Pecorino Romano cheese and grill. Yum!
Total cook time
- 1 lb any combination of baby bella, oyster and shiitake mushrooms
- 2 Tbs melted butter
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 prepared 12-inch pizza crust or naan bread
- 1 Tbs olive oil
- 1/2 cup Pecorino Romano cheese
Preheat grill to medium heat (350°- 400°). Create a foil packet and add mushrooms, butter, thyme, garlic, salt and pepper. Place packet on grill about 8-10 minutes and flip. Continue grilling for an additional 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat.
Brush crust with olive oil. Add mushrooms and cheese. Turn off middle burners for indirect grilling and place pizza crust in center of grill. Grill pizza about 8-10 minutes, or until crust is crisped.
