Pot Roast Cooking & Seasoning Mix
Pot roast is an easy, no-mess meal when you use McCormick Pot Roast Bag 'N Season Recipe Mix! With just 15 minutes of prep time, combine the perfect blend of herbs and spices in our Seasoning Mix with meat and classic pot roast veggies for a deliciously hearty meal the whole family will love. And cleanup's a cinch. Just toss the bag and enjoy!
Directions Prep Time: 15 minutes. Cook Time: 2 hours. Make 8 servings. You Will Need 1 pkg.McCormick Cooking Bag & Seasoning Mix, 3 to 4 lbs. chuck, bottom round or rump roast, trimmed, 4 cups cut-up fresh vegetable, such as potatoes, carrots and onions (about 1-inch pieces), 1/4 cup water. Directions: 1. Preheatoven to 350degF. Arrange opened Cooking Bag in 13x9-inch pan or dish. Place roast and vegetables in Bag. 2. StirSeasoning Mix and water until well blended. Pour over roast. Close Bag loosely with nylon tie. Cut 4 small holes in top of Bag to allow steam to escape. 3. Bakein lower half of oven 2 hours. Remove from oven. Let stand 5 minutes. Cut open Bag. Serve roast and vegetables with pan juices. If desired, thicken juices for gravy or serve with McCormick Brown Gravy. For Pork Roast:Bake 2 to 2 -1/2 lbs. Roast 1 to 1-1/2 hours. Important:Allow 8 inches for Bag to expand while cooking. Cooking bag should not touch oven walls or racks.
