Boil: Stove Top Cooking Directions • For 1 serving of oatmeal: use 1 cup water, dash of salt (optional), and ½ cup oatmeal. • For 2 servings of oatmeal: use 2 cups water, 1/8-1/4 tsp salt (optional), and 1 cup oatmeal. • For 3 servings of oatmeal: use 3 cups water, 1/8-1/4 tsp salt (optional), and 1½ cups oatmeal. • For 4 servings of oatmeal: use 4 cups water, 1/4-1/2 tsp salt (optional), and 2 cups oatmeal. 1. Bring water and salt to boil. 2. Slowly stir in oats. 3. Reduce heat to medium and continue to cook uncovered for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally. 4. Remove from heat. cover and let stand 3–5 minutes. Serve the lodge way with brown sugar, butter and cream or milk. Microwave: Microwave Directions (single serving): Place 3/4 cup water, dash of salt (optional) and 1/2 cup oats in microwave-safe bowl. Heat on high for 3 minutes; stir. Let stand about 3 minutes
