Directions How to Blacken: For meats, poultry & seafood up to 1 inch thick: Preheat dry cast iron skillet until very hot (10-15 min.). Brush meat with unsalted butter, then coat both sides generously with Blackened Seasoning. Cook each side until blackened. The Cajun Sear: For meats and poultry 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick: Brush olive oil on meat, then coat both sides generously with Blackened Seasoning. Heat 1 tsp. each olive oil and unsalted butter in skillet until it starts to smoke. cook meats at high heat on both sides until browned.
