Belle Glos Wine Pinot Noir Clark & Telephone Vineyard - 750 Ml

Pinot Noir, Santa Maria Valley

Clark & Telephone Vineyard - Santa Barbara County. Our Clark & Telephone Vineyard is located on a mesa in the coastal weather channel of the Santa Maria Valley. This maritime site, planted own root to the Martini clone in 1972, yields loose clusters with small, intensely-flavored berries. Through intensive pruning and crop-thinning techniques, we are able to bring the composition of these grapes into balance at harvest while preserving the spice-box notes, elegant texture and rich fruit core that are the hallmarks of the site. Soil: Pleasanton sandy loam; Acres: 76; Climate: Cool fog, sunny; Yield/Acre: 1.9 tons; Season (Bloom to Harvest): 5/18/08 to 10/23/08; French Oak Barrels: 9 months; Growing Season Avg High Temp: 73.4 degrees F daytime; Elevation: 580-700 feet. Winemaker: Joseph J. Wagner. Alc 14.7% by vol.
