Directions
Preparation: 1 package; 2 cups stock or water; 1 tbsp olive oil. Cook Time: About 20 minutes. Combine Lowcountry red rice with liquid and olive oil in 2-quart pot. Bring to a boil over high heat. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 20 minutes; remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes, covered, before serving. Serving Suggestions: Serve alongside grilled or barbecued meats and seafood; cook with crushed tomatoes and smoked sausage or bacon for a classic take on red rice. Store in a dry, cool place.
