Preparing Great Oatmeal: 1 servings; 1/3 cup multigrain cereal; 1 cup water; dash salt (optional)(For low sodium diets, omit salt). 4 servings; 1-1/2 cups multigrain cereal; 3 cups water; 1/8 tsp salt (optional)(For low sodium diets, omit salt). Stove Top: (1) Add water & salt to saucepan & bring to a boil. (2) Add grains & return to a boil. (3). Reduce heat & simmer on low for 8-10 minutes; stirring occasionally. (4) Remove from heat & let stand 3 minutes. Microwave (1 serving): (1) Combine grains, water, and salt in a large and deep microwave-safe bowl. (2) Microwave on 100% power for 4 minutes so that it boils. (3). Stir and allow to cool 2-3 minutes before serving.
