Rancho Gordo Mayocoba Beans - 16 Oz
A classic creamy bean with a thin skin. Ideal for soups. Side dishes and stellar as a refried bean. Also known as peruano and cannario. New world specialty food. Napa, California.
Directions Cooking Instructions: Check beans for debris and organic matter. Rinse thoroughly. Mix beans with aromatic vegetables [celery, carrot, onion, etc] and a few spoonfuls of olive oil. Cover with 2 inches of water then bring to a full boil for 15 minutes. Reduced heat to a simmer and cook gently until done. Salt when the beans are soft. A pre-soak will lessen the cooking time.
