Directions
After opening, store coconut, tightly closed, in refrigerator.
Coconut Tips:
How to Toast Coconut:
Spread coconut in shallow baking pan. Bake at 350F for 7 to 10 min. or until lightly browned, stirring frequently. Or, spread in microwavable pie plate. Microwave on high 3 min. or until lightly browned, stirring every minute. Watch carefully as coconut can easily burn!
How to Tint Coconut:
Mix 1/2 tsp. water with a few drops of food coloring. Add to 1 cup coconut in resealable plastic bag; seal bag. Shake until coconut is evenly tinted. Use more food coloring for a darker shade and less coloring for a lighter shade.
Storage Know-How:
Store tightly closed bag of opened coconut in refrigerator or freezer up to 18 months.
