Directions
To Make on Stovetop: 1. Bring water and salt to a boil. 2. Stir in oats. 3. Cook 1 minute over medium heat; stir occasionally. For creamier oatmeal, combine water, salt and oats; bring to a boil; cook as directed. To Make in Microwave (one serving): 1. Combine water, salt and oats in a 1 quart (medium) microwaveable bowl. 2. Microwave on High 1-1/2 to 2 minutes; stir before serving. Bowl may be hot. Due to differences in microwave ovens, cook time is approximate. For 1 serving, mix 1 cup water, 1/2 cup oats, and a dash of salt (optional). For 2 servings, mix 1-3/4 cups water, 1 cup oats, and a 1/8 tsp of salt (optional). For 6 servings, mix 5 cups water, 3 cups oats, and a 1/4 tsp of salt (optional).
