Directions
Cooking Directions on the Stove: 1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil (Cooking Measurement Chart: 4 Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 1 cup rice; 1-1/2 cups water; Makes 3 cups (cups cooked). 8 Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 2 cups rice; 2-3/4 cups water; Makes 9 cups (cups cooked). 12 Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 3 cups rice; 4 cups water; Makes 9 cups (cups cooked)). 2. Stir in rice (Add 1 Tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired). 3. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until all water is absorbed. In a 2-1/2 quart microwave-safe dish, combine 3 cups water and 1 cup brown rice (Add 1 Tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired). 2. Cover and microwave on High for 5 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% power, microwave for 25 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes.
