Directions Makes 16 brownies. You Will Need: large eggs; water; vegetable oil. For Fudgy Brownies: 1 egg; 1/4 cup water; 1/3 cup oil. Cake-Like Brownie: 2 eggs; 2 tbsp water; 1/4 cup oil. Baking: 1. Prep: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F for glass or metal pan, 325 degrees F for dark or non-stick pans (Add 3-5 minutes for dark or non-stick pan. Brownies are done when toothpick inserted 1 inch from the edge of pan comes out clean.). Grease bottom of pan with shortening or cooking spray. 2 Mix: Empty brownie mix, egg(s), oil and water in a large bowl. Stir until well blended (about 50 strokes). Spread into greased pan and bake immediately. 3. Bake: Bake following chart. Add 3-5 minutes for dark or non-stick pan. Brownies are done when toothpick inserted 1 inch from the edge of pan comes out clean. Pan Size: 8x8 inch, Bake Time: 35-38 min. Pan Size: 9x9 inch, Bake Time: 30-33 min. Cool complete in pan on wire rack before cutting and serving. Lower Fat Recipe: Prepare and bake brownie following directions above except using 1 large egg, 1 tablespoon water, and 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce. Reduce baking time 1-2 minutes. High Altitude (Over 3,500 ft): Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Stir 3 tablespoons flour into brownie mix. Mix and prepare according to above directions.
